Job Description

Phoenix Marine Manufacturing is looking for a dedicated Admin Manager. The Admin Manager role provides financial support to the executive committee and Managing Director/CEO. This position entails maintaining accurate financial records for the organization. The role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple financial processes efficiently.

Some duties include but are not limited to



Managing payments



Prepare payment requisitions and accurately capture via online banking platforms. Perform and review bank reconciliations to ensure transactions are correctly recorded. Maintain accurate financial records for all payments including suppliers, wages, salaries, and other disbursements.

Debtors



Regularly update debtors' statements. Prepare progress invoices for all ongoing boat projects. Ensure accurate allocation of customer payments. Generate final invoices upon completion of boat projects.

Cashflow Management



Maintain and update the organization's cash flow forecast. Monitor cash requirements and ensure that funding requests are made timeously to prevent shortfalls.

Creditors reconciliations



Review and verify creditor reconciliations. Ensure that all creditors are paid accurately and on time. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in supplier accounts.

Valued Added Tax



Accurately calculate VAT and submit returns to SARS within required deadlines. Ensure that all supporting VAT documentation is properly stored and readily available for SARS audits.

General



Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts department. Ensure proper allocation and reconciliation of stock and resolve any discrepancies. Enforce compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience



Applicable tertiary qualification (Accounting or finance diploma/degree) At least 3-5 years related experience.

Competences and Attributes



Knowledge of ERP systems and Ms Office Excellent communication skills. Time management skills. Able to plan, prioritize and organize. Strong problem-solving abilities and numerical aptitude. Accurate with attention to detail. Able to work under pressure and deadline driven. Able to work independently and in a team. Fast learner and ability to adapt to change. Impeccable time-management skills Capability to stay organized and maintain detailed records

Location: Atlantis, Cape Town



Position available immediately, remuneration market related and relative to experience. Candidates must already reside in Cape Town, relocation not on offer for this position.
