Job Summary You'll partner with leading insurers across South Africa, tackle complex actuarial challenges, and gain exposure to projects that sharpen both your technical and problem-solving skills. You won't just "run the numbers" -- you'll be the trusted advisor who explains what they mean and helps shape strategic decisions.
With a hybrid setup in Cape Town or Johannesburg, the opportunity to mentor bright actuarial minds, and exposure to diverse clients and projects, this role offers growth well beyond business-as-usual.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver valuation, IFRS 17, and SAM projects across a range of clients -- no "one-size-fits-all" work.
• Support, mentor, and develop junior actuarial colleagues.
• Collaborate with clients to address real business challenges and present insights that drive impactful decisions.
• Introduce innovative ideas and continuously enhance project delivery methods.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Education: Nearly or newly qualified Actuary (FASSA or equivalent).
• Experience:

• 2-3 years' experience in life valuations, IFRS 17, and SAM.
• Previous consulting exposure, or a genuine interest in moving into a client-facing environment (yes, you need to enjoy people as much as numbers!).
• Skills: Strong technical and analytical ability, combined with excellent communication skills -- able to simplify and explain complex actuarial concepts.
