Actuarial Manager

Role Purpose
To provide actuarial expertise within the Momentum Group Finance-Corporate Actuarial team, focusing on valuations, reporting, and consolidation. The role is responsible for reviewing, analysing, and optimising actuarial processes, including liabilities, surplus analysis, budgets, cash flow projections, and sensitivities. This position plays a critical role in delivering accurate and insightful outputs across IFRS, SAM, and Embedded Value reporting, enabling informed decision-making and driving continuous improvement.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent required
Nearly / qualified actuary with good progress in completing normative skills to become a Fellow
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
3 - 5 years relevant experience in a life insurance actuarial valuations and/or reporting role
A good working knowledge of the MS-Office packages is required
Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities required
Good working knowledge of SQL and/or other databases/programming languages/modelling software is preferable
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure accuracy of data and reporting of financial results and forecasts
(Internal Process):
Consolidate and analyse quarterly valuation results, including:
o Earnings and IFRS reporting
o Embedded Value and Value of New Business reporting
o Capital and solvency requirements reporting
o Stress and scenario testing, e.g. EV sensitivities
o Budgets, forecasts and projected balance sheet
Provide detailed insights to support proactive management of the book of business
Identify and implement process improvements in collaboration with stakeholders
Support and report on annual actuarial basis reviews
