Actuarial Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide actuarial audit support across general
, life insurance, pension funds, and schemes * Review technical provisions, IAS 19 liabilities, and IFRS 17 valuations
  • Contribute to IFRS 17 transition work, modelling, and actuarial audits
  • Conduct valuation and modelling assignments (reserving, capital, remediation, dashboards, etc.)
  • Support actuarial function reviews and model enhancements
  • Engage with clients to improve actuarial processes and risk frameworks
  • Contribute to business development efforts, thought leadership, and the operational growth of the actuarial team
What Youll Need:
Qualifications:
  • Nearly or fully qualified actuary
Experience:
  • Background in actuarial audit support, consulting, or technical review
  • Experience in the insurance, pension fund, or medical scheme environments
  • Knowledge of IFRS 17, capital and solvency frameworks (e.g. SAM), reserving, and ORSA is a strong advantage
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in actuarial tools and analytics platforms (e.g. Prophet, Python, SQL, SAS, Power BI, MATLAB)
  • Ability to draft high-quality actuarial reports and client documentation
  • Strong understanding of relevant audit standards (e.g. IFRS 13, IAS 19, ISA 540)
