Minimum Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science.
Passed at least 5 actuarial exams.
1-2 years of short-term insurance experience will be advantageous.
Experience with the following software will be advantageous:

Duties and Responsibilities
Analyse insurance portfolio trends
Build dashboards and MI reports (Power BI / SQL / Excel)
Validate the accuracy and completeness of business and actuarial data
Support identification of operational inefficiencies using data-driven insights
Develop and maintain data models to support analytics, forecasting, and operational reporting.
Investigate anomalies or unexpected trends, performing root-cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
Conduct trend investigations such as hijacking, fire/theft, and frequency behaviour analysis.
Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to improve data quality, structure, and accessibility.
Assist with automation and improvement of reporting processes.
Monitor KPI performance across underwriting, claims, sales, and pricing, highlighting emerging risks or opportunities.
Prepare clear, actionable insight summaries and presentations for management and operational teams.
Support the actuarial team with data extraction, cleaning, and reconciliation.
Document data flows, business rules, and processes to support governance and audit requirements.
Assist the pricing team with basic experience studies (frequency, severity).
Assist with reserving data preparation and simple triangulation checks.
Provide analytical support for strategic projects, including product enhancements and operational initiatives.
Support the integration of new data sources into existing reporting and analytical frameworks.
Conduct competitor benchmarking and market research to support product and pricing decisions.
Assist in developing business cases and feasibility assessments for new initiatives or process changes.
Monitor regulatory, economic and industry developments and analyse their impact on the motor insurance portfolio.
Build data-driven models that inform strategic decisions regarding parts sourcing, cost efficiency, and supplier suitability.
* Develop and maintain vehicle assessment models to determine the appropriate sales channel, pricing strategy, and refurbishment requirements for repossessed vehicles.
