As the AC Foreman, you'll take charge of all things HVAC--leading crews, managing installations and repairs, and making sure every system performs at its best. You'll balance safety, quality, and timelines while working closely with project managers to deliver outstanding results.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: AC - Foreman

JOB CONTEXT:
Our client is a well-established and innovative engineering company specializing in railway systems, rolling stock refurbishment, railway infrastructure, telecommunications, and power solutions. They are currently seeking an experienced and proactive AC Foreman to lead air conditioning and HVAC activities across their projects. The ideal candidate will supervise installation, maintenance, and repair works, manage on-site technicians, and coordinate closely with engineers and project managers to ensure high-quality, safe, and timely project delivery.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervisor to verify correct material to be used in accordance with the customer specification.
• Supervisor to ensure that material received at the stores for his/her department is correct as per the required standards.
• Supervisor to be able to manage and guide his department technically.
• Supervisor to ensure that health and safety is always maintained.
• Supervisor to ensure that his/her department is properly locked after completion of shift.
• Supervisor to ensure good housekeeping is always maintained.
• The supervisor to ensure the proper inspection of components upon receiving.
• The supervisor must ensure that the works procedures are followed throughout production processes.
• The supervisor must order material needed for production.
• The Supervisor must be able to carry out all electrical and mechanical test on all components.
• The supervisor must be able to carry out fault finding on all components.
• The supervisor to ensure the correct labelling of components and do the final inspection.
• The Supervisor must know and ensure proper Completion of all Relevant Documents.
• The supervisor to keep record of all components coming in and leaving his/her department.
• Ensure accuracy of Production Engineering procedures and documentation.
• Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions.
• Ensure production targets are adhered to Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric Certificate.
• Red Seal Certified (Artisan).
• 10 - 15 Years' experience
• +5 years' relevant supervisory experience.
• OHS Certification.
• Ability to conduct electrical testing and mechanical measurements.
• Must have good English written and verbal skills.
• Ability to conduct skills transfer.
• Mechanical & Electrical experience with AC/DC Motors.
• Time-management and organization skills

PACKAGE & REMUNERATION:

• Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, applicable banking experience, and previous earnings.
