Accounts Receivable Officer
to join our finance team and support our mission.
Position Overview
The Accounts Receivable Officer will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of Molo Mhlaba NPC by managing incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and maintaining clear financial records. This role requires a detail-focused individual with strong numerical skills, professionalism, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full accounts receivable process, including issuing invoices, recording receipts, and reconciling accounts.
Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with clients, sponsors, and partners in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Prepare accounts receivable reports and summaries for the finance manager and operations team.
Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless financial operations and resolve any discrepancies.
Support ad hoc financial tasks as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance department.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or a similar finance role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, invoicing, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Zoho, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills with keen attention to detail.
Professional communication skills and the ability to interact with clients and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle confidential information with discretion.
