Duties and Responsibilities
Manage various client portfolios
Review annual working paper files in MS Office Excel
Review annual financial statements (AFS) on Caseware
Perform independent reviews (IR) in accordance with the review standard
Review monthly client transactions
Review monthly management account reports
Review client statutory returns (VAT) * Resolve review queries from assistant manager/manager/partner and do final entries as per partner's finalization
Manage individual productivity and budgets (include completion of timesheets)
Monitor the percentage jobs completed per partner portfolio
Analyse write-offs per partner portfolio
Authorise competencies for SAIPA trainees as per logbook
Assist with process of providing consulting services as requested by clients
Address client queries
Efficient service delivery to clients (Team performance)
Capacity management per team
Job planning and allocation of work
Resolve escalated queries
Approve timesheets, leave and overtime
Performance management (Management component)
On-going review / monitoring of work (technical quality, timeousness and productivity)
Preparation of budgets and the management thereof (client) (WIP management)
Identify and provide/ensure on-the-job- training/coaching/guiding within the team
Minimum Requirements
Recognised 3 year degree as per the SAIPA/SAICA requirements
Professional membership required
At least 5+ years of experience within an accounting/auditing environment of which 1 year in a similar or senior role
MS Office (Word, Excel)
Pastel and/or Xero Accounting and/or Sage and/or any other cloud accounting system
Caseware preferred * Knowledge of current legislation and other regulations relating to the work
