Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
Coordinate and complete annual audits; liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Oversee tax preparation and ensure compliance with local, provincial, and national tax laws.
Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions.
Support the Finance Director/CFO in preparing management reports and financial analyses for strategic planning.
Train, mentor, and supervise accounting staff to ensure professional development and performance excellence.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
(Master's degree preferred).
Professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, or CIMA) preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
