Accounting Manager Epping Cape Town
Our commercial client in Epping Cape Town is looking for an Accounting Manager with 3-5 years experience in taking ownership of the account function taking the books to Trial Balance/Balance sheet working on XERO. Huge potential for future growth. Degree a must
Salary Negotiable to experience
Office Hours Mon Thursday 07h30 to 16h00 and Fridays till 3pm
Requirements
Matric and a financial qualification
Accounting/Finance Degree a MUST
3-5 years experience as an Accountant/Bookkeeper or Accounting Manager
Small Payroll Experience Pastel Payroll or similar 30 staff
VAT calculation and submission experience
SARS loading for returns and taxes experience
XERO Accounting Software experience including Excel
Responsibilities
Books to Trial Balance / Balance Sheet working on XERO
Assist outsourced Accounting/Audit firm with financial statements and audits
Maintain and manage full set of books, cashbook, petty cash, debtors, creditors, stock, intercompany accounts and recons, month end journals, fixed assets register
Run Monthly Payroll on Pastel Payroll 27 staff and loading on SARS
Ownership of SARS related returns, VAT, PAYE, 201s, income tax etc
Prepare month end management accounts and sub ledger reconciliations
Prepare cash flow analysis / projections
Oversee debtors and creditors functions (Debtors and Creditors Age Analysis)
Assist with quote preparation and job card management
Assist with process development and implementation
Monitor costs by analysing expenses
Identify discrepancies and identify cost saving strategies
Take necessary precautions to control and safeguard company assets
Maintain sound and positive relations with internal and external customers
