Role Headline
Executes consolidation, analysis and reporting for regular financial statements and completes budget planning, financial planning, actual-versus-plan-analysis, benchmarking, forecasting and reporting activities, for the management of Innomotics (Pty) Ltd. Keeps abreast of changes in internal guidelines and external accounting standards.
Responsibilities of the Role
Supports accountable management in planning and calculating yearly budgets and preparing reports for unit or "Finance & Controlling" management such as the annual financial report.
Plans, prepares and consolidates balance sheet and P&L statements and reports, according to relevant accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP, local standards, etc.).
Consolidate budgets, including top-down and bottom-up plans, and proceeds with revolving midterm plannings, and periodic forecasts during the year.
Analyses and evaluates assets and liabilities and may analyze tax obligations and recommends measures to optimize tax payments.
Performs comparisons Actual vs. Plan and pursues effects of agreed measures.
Analyses and evaluates cost structures, and builds, maintains and improves the depending on cost accounting system.
Carries out ad-hoc analyses and profitability calculations.
May perform evaluations of assets and liabilities and manages inventory measures on a regular term.
Maintain operational bank contacts and contributes in treasury activities such as limit management, money markets, operational loans and engagement with the Reserve bank on an ad hoc basis.
Develops and controls the cashflow planning for the business.
Keeps abreast with changes of internal guidelines and external accounting standards, and trains Accounting Operations staff respectively
Keeps abreast with changes of internal guidelines and external accounting standards, and prepares and presents training on accounting related topics and changes to/new accounting standards
Review and update published circulars and guidelines owned by Accounting & Controlling
Issue and implement new accounting guidelines/process documents
Journal processing, CISS management and data maintenance support
Support with non-routine transactions such as due diligence, mergers/acquisitions, business carve ins/outs etc.
Ensures compliance with risk and internal controls related to the business
Engaging Auditors, by supporting and coordinating Financial audit
Qualifications and Experience
Chartered Accountant CA(SA) or equivalent
10 years post articles experience
Deep professional know-how and experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Able to critically analyse a situation and then to explain the outcome and the rationale for the solution
Working knowledge of SAP and Esprit is advantageous
Ability to quickly develop a detailed business understanding and how responsibilities fit into the bigger picture
