Accurately documenting all financial activities, including income, expenses, and other relevant transactions, using accounting softwares like sage, pastel, xero and quickbooks
Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Tracking invoices, payments, and overdue accounts, ensuring timely processing of payments to suppliers and managing client accounts.
Reconciling Bank Statements:
Comparing bank records with internal financial records to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
Preparing Financial Statements:
Generating regular financial reports, such as monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, for internal and external stakeholders.
Maintaining General Ledger:
Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger by reconciling accounts and correcting errors.
Payroll Processing:
Managing payroll operations, including calculating wages, withholding taxes, and issuing payments experience in use of simple pay and other payroll management systems
Assisting with Tax Preparation:
Collaborating with accountants to prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time. like Vat, EMP and related
Ensuring Compliance:
Adhering to relevant financial regulations and assisting with internal or external audits.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in bookkeeping/accounting or a related field is typically required.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
Organizational Skills:
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, vendors, and clients.
Attention to Detail:
Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial for maintaining accurate financial records.
Knowledge of Accounting Principles:
A solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
Minimum Requirements:
Book keeping diploma or Accounting Qualification
2 years experience within an accounting firm or such role in a company
practical knowledge of working in an enterprise will be an advantage
