Purpose of the position

The accountant role is a dynamic one with a multitude of responsibilities within the Team and includes future growth potential for the company.

Key responsibilities of the position

o Preparing and maintaining financial records for the accounting firm and documents accurately and timeously;
o Responsibility for accounting processes and tasks (payments/fees/general ledger/ account reconciliations);
o Co-ordinating and liaising with internal parties to support intercompany activities;
o Monitoring and analyzing financial data to identify discrepancies;
o Assisting with the preparation of financial and departmental reports/budgets/annual financial statements;
o Assisting with the preparation of company taxes; and
o Ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines affecting the finances of the company.

Knowledge and experience required

Skills, know-how and experience:

o Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, and XERO accounting.

Technical/ professional qualifications:

o Bachelor's degree in Accounting with Post Graduate Diploma or Honors in Accounting or similar; and
o At least 3-5 years' work experience in a similar role in the financial sector.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R15000,00 - R25000,00 per month
