Job Summary
Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a relevant Accountancy qualification
• Minimum 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience within an accounting firm or accounting role will be required
• Must have previous experience in producing management accounts and VAT returns
• Strong accounting knowledge, in particular the requirements of FRS 102 is important for this role
• Advanced computer literacy, especially in the use of Xero and Excel is essential
• Must have attention to detail and the ability to manage workloads under stringent deadlines
• Above-average communication skills, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, including Line Managers and Clients, will be required
• Must be willing to learn new systems and processes and have the ability to train others on accounting systems and add-ons

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing clientsxe2x80x99 expectations and delivering up to date financials and compliance filings on time, every time.
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns, management reporting, CIS returns and P11Dxe2x80x99s.
• Reviewing work from the Data Processor prior to publishing it within Xero or relevant accounting system.
• Performing bookkeeping and data processing functions.
• Setting up Xero and relevant accounting application and providing the required training.
• Preparing and reviewing budgets and forecasts.
• Managing the Data Processor and providing training as required.
• Driving xe2x80x98Continuing Professional Developmentxe2x80x99 and ongoing training.
• Ensuring confidentiality of sensitive client data.
• Collaborating with other team members in order to meet deadlines.
• Identifying opportunities to improve/streamline internal processes.
• Performing functions in accordance with the businessxe2x80x99 values and competency framework.
