Job Description
Duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Oversee and provide accurate monthly Pools management accounts.
- Oversee a team.
- Review and monitor internal controls associated with fruit accounting.
- Manage/oversee the preparation of monthly marketing pools and recoveries.
- Manage G/L accounts and oversee reconciliations.
- CFC account reconciliations
- Record financial transactions.
- Monitoring of data integrity
- Oversee debtors, including monthly debtors meeting and age analysis.
- Perform appropriate month-end and year-end accruals.
- Analyze and present financial information.
- Reserve Bank applications
- Request credit checks and evaluate new debtors.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- A degree in Accounting or Management Accounting
- Five years experience in Pools Accounting position
- A good understanding of accounting principles
- At least five years of experience in the Fruit Industry
- Experience in the agriculture, and/or processing sector will count in the candidates favour
- Good computer skills (ERP systems and advanced Excel)
- Problem-solving skills
- Accurate and strong attention to detail
- Leadership qualities
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Fully bilingual
- A positive attitude, be willing to learn and train others
