Job Summary
A leading private equity firm in the financial services sector is looking for an experienced Accountant with strong proficiency in financial reporting, tax, and the preparation of financial statements to join their team in Sandton. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to manage essential financial processing, tax calculations, and submissions while supporting the firm's broader accounting functions. If you hold a SAIPA or AGA qualification - or are currently studying toward one with the requisite bookkeeping experience - and possess a diligent, commercially focused mindset, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:

• Taking ownership of the end-to-end preparation of accurate financial statements.
• Performing complex tax calculations and ensuring the timely submission of all required tax returns.
• Managing daily financial processing and maintaining meticulous bookkeeping records.
• Overseeing comprehensive financial reporting to ensure accuracy within the financial services environment.
• Executing various related financial activities to support the firm's private equity operations.

Requirements:

• Holding a SAIPA or AGA(SA) qualification.
• Demonstrating a minimum of 3 years of proven experience specifically within a financial accounting environment.
• Having a strong proficiency in the end-to-end preparation of financial statements and the execution of complex tax calculations.
• Possessing the ability to manage daily financial processing, meticulous bookkeeping, and the submission of tax returns.
