Job Description

As the Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's financial integrity and compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Your responsibilities will encompass financial and management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, budget analysis, fixed asset management and cost allocations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial and Management Reporting: Prepare accurate financial and management statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and organizational guidelines.
• Financial Analysis: Produce timely and insightful financial and management analyses and reports to support decision-making.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Analyze and report on balance sheet reconciliations, cost implications, and bench-marking results.
• Management Accounting: Prepare management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and journals.
• Budget Variances: Analyze and report on budget variances, providing explanations and recommendations as needed.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the accuracy of general ledger accounts and ensure precise balance sheet reconciliations.
• Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the fixed assets register, conduct physical asset verification, and compile reconciliations.
• Creditor's Reconciliations: Verify and authorize monthly creditor's reconciliations in accordance with established procedures.
• Cost Allocation: Review and verify cost allocation of invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Control Account Reconciliation: Reconcile control accounts and address discrepancies following established guidelines.

• Completed Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial accounting, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
