Job Requirements:

• BCom Degree with Accounting III, Auditing and Taxation or similar qualification.
• Completed 3-year articles experience.
• Working knowledge of pastel accounting.
• Relevant experience in an accounting/audit practice or similar field.
• Microsoft office - Excel and Word, Windows
• Knowledge of Audit-mate (an advantage).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Passing of relevant journals including, but not limited to, depreciation, provisions, interest, salaries, stock, instalment.
• Sale agreements, interest on borrowings, provisions, accruals of income and expenditure, bad debts, etc.
• Compilation of a set of financial statements, including the appropriate notes and accounting policies, according to
• required accounting standards and a working paper file according to professional standards.
• Performing and completion of audits / reviews.
• Calculate the income tax liability for various entities and individuals, including tax structuring.
• Reconciliations of input/output VAT to annual financial statements and trial balances
• Compilation of financial projections and management accounts for clients.
• Communicate with the South African Revenue Services regarding outstanding taxes, returns, and balance of accounts.
• Consult with clients and provide relevant advice/information to clients when required.
• Identifying and reporting any reportable irregularities to the Audit Partner/Director without delay.
• Perform any other duties relevant to the functions of an Accountant, and which can be reasonably expected, as
• requested by Management.
