Our Client in Stellenbosch is looking for a Accountant.

This is a Senior role (Permanent position).

Qualifications:

• Grade 12
• Relevant degree in Accounting
• Previous experience as an Accountant.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

Responsibilities: * Lead in the organisationsxe2x80x99 Transactional- and Accounting functions to ensure accurate and timeous month end reporting to all internal and external stakeholders.

• Working Capital Management (Debtors; Creditors; Cash):

• In conjunction with the debtors-, creditors controllers, ensure that debtors and creditors are accurately accounted for, and payments terms are adhered to.
• Perform cashflow forecasts to ensure that adequate finance facilities are in place.
• Banking, SARB & DTI approvals: Assist with the banking relations and manage a stable and fit for purpose financing environment.
• Audits & Financial statements: Lead the external audits, drafting and sign-off of annual financial statements.
• Company Secretarial: Ensure that all company secretarial documents are kept up to date.
• Tax: Corporate; VAT; Payroll: Ensure that all companies are tax compliant through timeous payments and submissions to the relevant authorities.
• Reporting: Perform monthly reporting to enable informed business decision making. This includes reporting to the Directors, Shareholders, external service providers and wider staff on various finance matters to ensure all stakeholders are informed.
• Maintain accurate and complete asset registers.
• Budgets: Lead the organisation and all its stakeholders through the preparation and presentation of the annual budget and forecasting
• Internal controls: Lead and document the internal controls necessary to ensure accurate bookkeeping and enable structured and well understood ways of workings
