Accountant - Luxury Hotel - Camps Bay
An exciting opportunity exists for an Accountant to join the finance team of a prestigious luxury hotel in Camps Bay. This role is suited for a dynamic, detail-oriented professional with a strong accounting background, ideally with experience in the hospitality sector.
The Accountant will oversee financial controls, ensure compliance with legislation, and provide accurate reporting and cost analysis to support sound business decisions across both operational and property divisions.
Description
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly management accounts, financial statements, and audit files.
• Analyse Cost of Sales (COS), budgets, and variances, identifying savings and efficiency improvements.
• Oversee procurement and stock control for food, beverage, and hotel supplies, ensuring best pricing and stock accuracy.
• Manage payroll and staff-related costs, ensuring accuracy and alignment with budget.
• Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Asset Register.
• Support cash flow forecasting, tax compliance, and financial audits.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams to support operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 with a Degree or Diploma in Accounting / Cost and Management Accounting.
• Completed SAIPA articles (1-2 years post).
• 3-5 years' accounting experience, ideally within hospitality or property finance.
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency; knowledge of Evolution, Opera, and Micros beneficial.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
