Job Description
Job Summary Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
- Process month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Review, reconcile, and analyze financial statements and reports.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Monitor inventory costing, variance analysis, and stock reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations and financial policies.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Prepare VAT, tax returns, and other statutory submissions.
- Liaise with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Support management with financial insights and ad-hoc reporting.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting/Finance (essential).
- 3-5 years' relevant accounting experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Experience with accounting software (SAP, Sage, Pastel, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and reporting abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Knowledge of stock systems and cost accounting is an advantage
