Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and analytical Accountant to join our fast paced team in the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and supporting accurate financial reporting.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
• Process month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Review, reconcile, and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Monitor inventory costing, variance analysis, and stock reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations and financial policies.
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Prepare VAT, tax returns, and other statutory submissions.
• Liaise with auditors during internal and external audits.
• Support management with financial insights and ad-hoc reporting.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting/Finance (essential).
• 3-5 years' relevant accounting experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
• Experience with accounting software (SAP, Sage, Pastel, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of stock systems and cost accounting is an advantage
