Job Description
My client is a JSE-listed property company, established almost 40 years ago with a strong track record of success and growth in the South African real estate sector. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is eager to apply their technical expertise across various accounting functions and contribute to the financial health of a listed group.
Duties:
- VAT and Tax
- All SARS eFiling and statutory returns
- Preparation and posting of journal entries and adjustments
- Compilation and review of the trial balance
- Group consolidation entries
- Variance analysis: actual vs budget reporting
- Support with audit preparations and working papers
- BCom Accounting
- Minimum 3+ years experience in a similar accounting role
- Solid knowledge of South African tax legislation and SARS processes
- Proficiency in advanced MS Excel is essential
