Job Description
My client is seeking a talented individual to join their finance team as an Accountant. As part of a leading global refrigeration manufacturing company, you'll play a crucial role in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance across their diverse portfolio.
This role is based in Denver, Johannesburg.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable:
- Manage accounts payable for both local and foreign suppliers.
- General Ledger and Journals:
- Maintain general ledgers and conduct monthly reconciliations.
- Process month-end journals and balance loan accounts.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly financial reports to the holding company.
- Group Treasury:
- Oversee the Group treasury function.
- Stock Management:
- Supervise stock counts and process stock count adjustments.
- Commission Schedules:
- Prepare monthly commission schedules.
- Fixed Assets and Tax Compliance:
- Maintain the fixed assets register for specified subsidiaries for tax and accounting purposes.
- Prepare and submit monthly VAT and withholding tax returns.
- Process Automation and Support:
- Provide support and assistance with systems/process automation within the Finance department.
- Assist with various statutory compliance requirements.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles is preferred.
- Advanced computer skills; Syspro experience is advantageous.
