Summary: An exciting opportunity to work for a multinational business based in Johannesburg, currently looking for an experienced Accountant to join their well-established team. In this role, you'll be responsible for financial record management, preparation of financial statements, and ensuring adherence to accounting regulations specific to the African region.

Accountant responsibilities:

• Order Book Management: Oversee the management of unit order books, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in tracking orders and inventory
• Financial Analysis: Monitor and analyse selling, general, and administrative expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise financial performance
• Cost Control: Track and analyse Cost Reduction Credit data to control expenses and improve cost efficiency
• Inventory Management: Monitor, analyse, and enhance Stock Ageing processes to ensure optimal stock levels and minimise wastage
• Accounts Receivable: Monitor, analyse, and improve Debtors Ageing procedures to expedite collections and maintain healthy cash flow

Accountant requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is non-negotiable
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, SAIPA or SAIBA preferred
• SAP and HFM systems experience is essential
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position
• Experience within the Chemical or Fertiliser industry is advantageous
