Position Overview

The Accountant contributes to the companyxe2x80x99s goals by providing financial support aligned to the companyxe2x80x99s strategy. This role entails an intense focus on the reconciliation of data attention to detail and accuracy is critical.
Specific Role Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts

• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for SAVM

• Posting of cashbook, creditors and debtorsxe2x80x99 transactions to general ledger

• Processing of month end journals

• maintenance of fixed assets registers

• Preparation of Hyperion pack for SAVM

• Preparation of monthly VAT schedules

• Assist with budget and forecast processes.

• Preparation of monthly departmental accounts

• Assist with Income tax pack and queries from Head Office

• Assist with internal and external audits.

• Finalizing VSB month end

• Stand-in for Finance Manager

Qualifications and Experience

• B. Com. degree with accounting major or similar

• Minimum 3 years post-graduation experience in finance

• Financial Services/Insurance Background advantageous

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills compulsory

• Kerridge experience will be beneficial.
