Kromco (Pty) Ltd is one of the major role players in the pome fruit industry, situated in Grabouw. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for Financial administration, Export Trade finances and a small dedicated team. The successful candidate will report to the Manager: Grower Accounting.

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

• Oversee and provide accurate monthly Pools management accounts.
• Oversee a team.
• Review and monitor internal controls associated with fruit accounting.
• Manage/oversee the preparation of monthly marketing pools and recoveries.
• Manage G/L accounts and oversee reconciliations.
• CFC account reconciliations
• Record financial transactions.
• Monitoring of data integrity
• Oversee debtors, including monthly debtors meeting and age analysis.
• Perform appropriate month-end and year-end accruals.
• Analyze and present financial information.
• Reserve Bank applications
• Request credit checks and evaluate new debtors.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have at least the following:

• A degree in Accounting or Management Accounting
• Five years experience in Pools Accounting position
• A good understanding of accounting principles
• At least five years of experience in the Fruit Industry
• Experience in the agriculture, and/or processing sector will count in the candidatexe2x80x99s favour
• Good computer skills (ERP systems and advanced Excel)
• Problem-solving skills
• Accurate and strong attention to detail
• Leadership qualities
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Fully bilingual
• A positive attitude, be willing to learn and train others
