Job Description

RPO Recruitment's client in KwaZulu-Natal is currently looking for an Accountant. Their responsibility is to maintain oversight of inter-company accounts and effectively oversee non-gaming revenue and food and beverage cost management in accordance with necessary standards and in full adherence to relevant legal and accounting regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard and manage company funds and assets while overseeing accounting systems.
• Analyze operational outcomes and propose cost-cutting and profit-enhancing strategies for Executive Management review.
• Ensure accurate accounting classification for all expenses, both operating and capital.
• Prepare internal and external financial statements.
• Enforce internal accounting and administrative controls to ensure accurate transaction handling.
• Develop long-term plans and budget requirements to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
• Stay updated on industry trends and share relevant information with employees.
• Manage statutory tax calculations and administration.
• Implement techniques to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and cost savings.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years management experience preferably in the Gaming or Hospitality industry.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Preference will be given to PDI candidates.
• Relevant Degree in Finance or equivalent
