ACCOUNTANT / EAST LONDON - A vacancy exists for an Accountant at our Client in Beacon Bay. This position will report to the Senior Accountant.

Minimum Requirements

Degree in accounting

Minimum 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience as an accountant in similar roll

Own transport

Good excel skills xe2x80x93 VLOOKUPxe2x80x99s, pivots, advanced formulas

Must have managed a finance team.

Responsibilities:

VAT recon and return submitted (Border tax recon included)

Financial statements preparation

Audit planning for the annual audit of companies

Assist, when required, with audit readiness and audit queries

Budget to be loaded into the accounting package that we can track expenditure against the budget

Review of B/S reconciliations

Insurance Claims & Follow up

Supervising staff

Supports and runs projects with the FM

Support the GM with any in-country queries related to the management accounts

Address any queries on the management accounts relating to payroll

Review the PO's for accuracy ensuring all the support is attached and necessary budget is available to spend

Review of creditors in the accounting package ensuring for accuracy and completeness

Review of supplier payments ensuring we pay the correct supplier the accurate amount on time

Review the payments before loading it onto the banking platform or using the accounting package to review the support

Valuation of creditors at month-end and passing the forex adjustment

YUM submission accurately submitted

Review monthly food costs before sending to markets and using in the management accounts. If problems, bring it to the partiesxe2x80x99 attention

Perform the stock journal entries and perform reconciliation to the stock working paper

Supports the Food cost analyst

Preparation of monthly management accounts
