Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced accountant to join our team in a hybrid position based in Cape Town. This role offers the flexibility of working from home with regular in-office attendance required for meetings and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in hospitality or complex entities, with strong financial management and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Full accounting function, including reconciliations, general ledger, and financial reporting Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts Oversee budgets, forecasts, and cash flow management Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and key stakeholders Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations Support and guide junior accounting team members Deliver timely financial insights to support decision-making Contribute to improving internal financial systems and controls
Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years' relevant accounting experience Experience in the hospitality industry or with complex/multi-entity structures Degree in Accounting or Finance Solid knowledge of South African financial and tax regulations Proficiency in accounting software Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Based in Cape Town and available for in-office days as needed
