ACCOUNTANTOur client is seeking to employ the services if an accountant in the Durbanville area.RESPONSIBILITIES:To document financial transactions in the General Ledger systemAccounts payable (i.e. processing invoices, payments and reconciliation of accounts etc.)Accounts receivable (i.e. distribution of statements, following up on outstanding invoices, processing remittances, reconciliations etcCash flow management function and processing (i.e. bank, petty cash and cash flow forecasts);Payroll (Processing, reconciliations, etc.)Manage all tax related matters i.e. VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, etc;Preparation of management reports, financial statements and other financial related reports and correspondenceResolution of finance related queries;To maintain financial security by following internal controlsMaintenance of internal systems and client files (electronic and hard copies)Stay up to date and comply with latest legislationSKILLS:Knowledgeable in International Accounting Practices & Procedures;Knowledgeable in the budgeting process;Knowledgeable in management reportingKnowledgeable in Internal Controls and Accounting StandardsAbility to work in cross-cultural settingsTeam player, Motivating, Analytical skills, Communication & Interpersonal skills, Strong Leadership skillsKnowledge of all MS Office applicationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to perform duties with limited supervisionDeadline orientated with attention to detailHands-on, proactive approachKnowledge of accounting softwareKnowledge of payroll softwareSALARY: R25 000 per month
