As the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for:
Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
Prepare fixed asset register
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and the maintenance of the general ledger, including account reconciliations, and the production of various financial reports and statements to provide accurate and timely financial information to management
Ensure VAT and taxation compliance
Ensure that systems and procedures are in compliance with company policies, the reporting & accounting strategy and with accounting standards, and applicable rules & regulations
Prepare business analyses and produces monthly management reports
PPV and production variance analyses, support stock count activities and implement corrective measures
Ensure timely and correct financial disclosures for internal and external reporting
Reconcile all inter-company loan account balances
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
Forecast costs and revenues
Organize internal audits
Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)
Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
Perform month-end and year-end close processes
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Matric/Grade 12 (Certificate required)
Bachelor of Commerce degree or Post Grad qualification
SAICA/SAIPA articles
2 - 4 years experience in a similar position
Sage experience would be advantageous
Exposure to working with foreign currencies would be advantageous
