Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to handle all accounting responsibilities such as financial policies, fixed assets activities. Under general supervision, responsible for moderately complex accounting activities e.g. debtors, reconciliation of accounts and creditors, relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger.
Minimum Requirements

• BCom Degree in Accounting completed Articles xe2x80xa2 Up to 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience xe2x80xa2 Must have extensive experience in financial management. xe2x80xa2 Experience in Fixed Assetsxe2x80xa2 Experience in the logistics field. xe2x80xa2 Good communication skills. xe2x80xa2 Good presentation skills. xe2x80xa2 People management xe2x80xa2 Self-starter, deadline driven and reliable xe2x80xa2 Be able to work in a team environment xe2x80xa2 Can work under pressure xe2x80xa2 Accurate and meticulous xe2x80xa2 Ability to problem solve xe2x80xa2 Must be willing to travel

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure all fixed assets transaction are reordered accurately and timeously for acquisitions, disposals, according to specified

procedures and approval framework. * Ensure that all fixed assets related queries are effectively resolved.

• Ensure that all the relevant general ledger accounts are reconciled, and exception are investigated
• Assist with preparation of timeous monthly management accounts
• Assist with timeous year-end and interim results
• Assist with completion of annual financial statements
• Assist in review of work performed by junior team members
• Ensure compliance with external audit requirements
• Ensure compliance with appropriate IFRS standards
• Liaise with external and internal auditors
• Assist with preparing and presenting quarterly pack
• Ad hoc accounting and finance matte
