Requirements:

• Completed B. Com financial degree
• Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting (Minimum of 5 years)
• Must come from a large retail trading background
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel as well as Syspro
• Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Must be willing to travel to and from different branches
• Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans (read, write, and speak)
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Deadline driven

• Prepare and examine financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
• Perform regular financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Conduct internal audits to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency
• Stay up to date with accounting principles and industry best practices
• Responsible for the trial balance, income statement and balance sheet
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts monthly:

• Inventory
• Goods in transit
• Expense provision
• Staff loans
• Sundry debtors
• Non-stock
• Assets
• Instalment sales agreements
• Claims
• Cash clearing
• Floats and petty cash
• Prepayments
• Cash book
• Recordkeeping and filing
• Internal control
• Fixed assets
• Annual audit
• Budgeting

• Processing and recordkeeping of all adjustment journals, to be approved by the Branch Manager, Group Financial Manager and The Director
• Preforming day end, month end and year-end on Syspro systems
• Provisions for expenses
• Nedfleet management
• Redemption policies
• Property companies accounting function
• Must be able to process Creditors and expenses:
