The Sales Account Executive will sell the Sage Intacct product solution with Business Partners across South Africa. This person will work closely with the pre-sales engineering team to close the sales opportunities.
Location - 3 days per week out of our Johannesburg office.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with account executives to identify customer needs and propose appropriate software solutions.
- Conduct product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical presentations tailored to client requirements.
- Analyse client business processes and align software capabilities to address business challenges.
- Respond to RFPs, RFIs, SOW's and technical documentation requests.
- Liaise between the sales and technical teams to ensure smooth transition from presales to post-sales implementation.
- Stay current with product developments, competitor offerings, and industry trends.
- Assist in developing presales tools, demo environments, and customer use cases.
- Provide feedback to product and development teams based on customer interactions.
- Working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Be able to articulate both the Sage Intacct and Cloud Native Value Proposition
- Clearly articulate the benefits of Sage Intacct's solutions to all levels including lines of business managers and "C" level executives
- Understand the customer need and establish Sage Intacct's solution as the best solution that addresses their need
- Develop, present and deliver high-impact demonstrations of the Sage Intacct solution
- Support Corporate and Channel Sales Representatives in production of high-quality sales proposals and supporting materials
- Meet quarterly and annual quota objectives working in tandem with the Corporate and Channel Sales Representatives
- Provide input to other cross-functional departments pertaining to prospect requests and product enhancements as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Bcomm, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fields of Software and Accounting.
- Understanding of software solutions such as SaaS, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, or cybersecurity (depending on the company's focus).
- Ability to travel. Onsite visits to Business Partners and Customers.
Must have:
- 4+ years as a pre-sales engineer with implementation consulting or customer support for an accounting, financial or related software application.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related fields
- In depth knowledge of accounting (or demonstrable experience of accounting processes)
- Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven track record of increasing deal size and accelerating the sales cycle
- Successful quota achievement
- Familiar with internet application software, API's, XML and web services
