Job Description


A brief overview of the position / responsibilities of the Job is:

Scope:

  • Effectively position Vox Telecom as being the definitive supplier of knowledge, products, solutions and services within the telecommunications industry.
  • Vertical and horizontal account analysis and penetration to ensure that all possible product / solution opportunities in existing and associated accounts are explored.
  • Presentation of a comprehensive architectural strategy plan of each account and the respective overall base.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure there is a relationship forged with every level that play a role in the decision making at the Customer site (approximately 50 Key Clients).
  • Identify any possible threats, competitiors and consultant influences that may cause the Customer to cancel.
  • Consistently meet set net of churn growth targets.
  • Constantly monitoring of renewal dates, overflow, quarterly project plan and analysis industry trends, debtors and technical (helpdesk) interaction and involvement to maintain Customer service levels interaction and involvement to maintain Customer service levels.
  • Utilise and incorporate competencies of the services of the Product Specialist and Product Managers to ensure that the companies required budgets are met.
  • Foster an atmosphere of self-study with regards to trends in the telecommunications market so as to ensure that the Company is viewed as a leader in the Telecommunications Industry.
  • Constantly identify and close on opportunities in an existing base of Accounts.
  • Consistently identify and close on opportunities in new Key Corporate Accounts (Pipeline Management).
  • Generate new business opportunities.
  • Upsell, cross-sell, re-establish relationships.
  • Responsible for Account Plans, Pipeline Management and retention.

Characteristics
  • 3-5 Years of Account Management in the ICT Sector within a Corporate Account Management role.
  • Relevant knowledge of Hosted Solutions.
  • Knowledge of Telecommunications legislative changes.
  • In-depth product knowledge of all core products and services.
  • Strong communication, negotiating and influence skills with ability to liaise at all levels in an Organisation.
  • Proficient with MS Office and Sales CRM Solutions.
  • Ability to work individually as a motivated self-starter.
  • Customer orientated.
  • Sound business acumen.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Self-motivated, success driven and innovative.
  • Systematic, persistent and efficient when managing own time.
  • Professional and well presented.
  • Hunter mentality know how to create opportunities, close transactional details.
  • Ability to liaise at all levels.
Requirements
  • Completed Matric or Grade 12.
  • Business Diploma.
  • 3-5 years experience in Account Management role in the ICT Sector at Corporate Level.
  • Understanding of telecommunications, networking and data.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and generate revenue (cold calling / networking).
  • Proven ability on structuring deals at Corporate level.
  • Proven ability to sell technology products.
  • Must have your own reliable transport.
  • Valid Code B drivers licence.
  • Bilingual and excellent communication skills.
