Job Advert SummaryEduvos is looking to employ the services of a Academic Programme Convener (Faculty of Law) to be based at our Eduvos Pretoria campus.Type of Position:PermanentThe Position:The operational management and oversight of day-to-day delivery lecturing within the faculty of Law.
Minimum RequirementsMinimum qualification:

  • Masterxe2x80x99s Degree in Law (LLM)
Experience:
  • At least five yearsxe2x80x99 experience as a lecturer in the higher education industry
  • Either demonstrated management potential or management experience of at least two years
  • Publishing in academic journals will be advantageous
Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:As the Academic Programme Convener, you will be primarily responsible for the following:
  • Accountability areas xe2x80x93 operating / financial results accountable for:
  • Accountable for the operational management and delivery of lecturing related to Commerce and Law programmes (lecturer performance)
  • Accountable for the performance of the community of practice and alignment with development hub
  • Operational process outputs:
  • Qualification related subject matter expertise
  • The management of academic delivery, resource planning and the management of lecturers
  • Management:
  • Budgets
  • Input into academic budget
  • ICA claims processing
  • Operational planning e.g., programme implementation planning and training (per mode of delivery) incl. sequence, prerequisites, etc. (academic planner)
  • Monitoring, control, corrective action
  • Reporting xe2x80x93 regular feedback as per Program Manager requirements and Head of Programmes
  • Escalations / Decisions / Problem solving
  • Resourcing and capacity management (people; equipment)
  • Leadership:
  • Talent acquisition, selection and onboarding
  • Individual performance management - role clarity and objectives; reviews; feedback; corrective actions
  • Culture, climate and change
