Eduvos is looking to employ the services of a Academic Programme Convener (Faculty of Law) to be based at our Eduvos Mowbray campus.

The Position:
The operational management and oversight of day-to-day delivery lecturing within the faculty of Law.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum qualification:

• Masters in Law (LLM) or an equivalent qualification, but completed LLD or PhD in Law (or applicants who are currently enrolled for PhD) would be highly advantageous.

Experience:

• At least five years' experience as a lecturer in the higher education industry
• Either demonstrated management potential or management experience of at least two years
• Publishing in academic journals will be advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
As the Academic Programme Convener, you will be primarily responsible for the following:

• Accountability areas - operating / financial results accountable for:

• Accountable for the operational management and delivery of lecturing related to Commerce and Law programmes (lecturer performance)
• Accountable for the performance of the community of practice and alignment with development hub
• Operational process outputs:

• Qualification related subject matter expertise
• The management of academic delivery, resource planning and the management of lecturers
• Management:

• Budgets

• Input into academic budget
• ICA claims processing
• Operational planning e.g., programme implementation planning and training (per mode of delivery) incl. sequence, prerequisites, etc. (academic planner)
• Monitoring, control, corrective action
• Reporting - regular feedback as per Program Manager requirements and Head of Programmes
• Escalations / Decisions / Problem solving
• Resourcing and capacity management (people; equipment)
• Leadership:

• Talent acquisition, selection and onboarding
• Individual performance management - role clarity and objectives; reviews; feedback; corrective actions
• Culture, climate and change
