Duties/Pligte
Coordinating the design, implementation and evaluation of all academic renewal tasks and projects for the Faculty.
Coordinating, driving and administering academic renewal funding opportunities.
Planning, coordinating and co-facilitating the Science Learning and Teaching Day and regular science-related academic renewal workshops and training sessions.
Participating in institutional events, workshops and professional development opportunities.
Managing the annual Faculty Yearbook revision project, which includes ensuring correctness and completeness of submissions for approval, and the effective execution of all steps of the
process.Serving as secretary for the Science Learning and Teaching Programme Committee, ensuring effective communcation, accurate record-keeping and timely execution of action items.
Maintaining a repository for all documentation related to programmes and modules offered by the Faculty of Science, including specification forms, assessment plans, moderation reports, and
module frameworks.Ensuring the alignment of the academic offering with institutional policies, regulations and systems.
Ensuring that faculty-level implementation plans and guidelines are updated in response to policy changes, institutional developments, or recurring issues identified through Faculty processes
and student feedback.Koordineer die ontwerp, implementering en evaluering van alle akdemiese vernuwingstake en -projekte vir die Fakulteit.

Deelname aan institusionele geleenthede, werkswinkels en professionele ontwikkelingsgeleenthede.
Bestuur die Fakulteit se jaarlikse Jaarboekhersieningsprojek, insluitend om die korrektheid en volledigheid van voorleggings vir goedkeuring, en die effektiewe uitvoering van alle stappe van die
proses te verseker.Dien as sekretaris vir die Wetenskapsleer en -onderrigprogramkomitee, en verseker effektiewe kommunikasie, akkurate rekordhouding en tydige uitvoering van aksies.
Onderhou 'n bewaarplek vir alle dokumentasie wat verband hou met programme en modules wat deur die Fakulteit Natuurwetenskappe aangebied word, met inbegrip van spesifikasievorms,
assesseringsplanne, modereringsverslae, en moduleraamwerke.Verseker dat die akademiese aanbod in ooreenstemming is met institusionele beleide, regulasies en stelsels.
Verseker dat implementeringsplanne en riglyne op Fakulteitsvlak bygewerk word in reaksie op beleidsveranderinge, institusionele ontwikkelings, of herhalende kwessies wat deur
fakulteitsprosesse en studenteterugvoer geidentifiseer word.
Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
A postgraduate qualification in the Natural Science-related field or education, at NQF level 8 or an equivalent qualification.
At least five years' experience in a higher education institution, with a focus on learning, teaching, and assessment.
Proven experience in programme/curriculum renewal or programme/curriculum development initiatives.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with all academics, professional support staff and external stakeholders.
Good presentation, training, and facilitation skills.
Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work independently, as well as in a team.
'n Nagraadse kwalifikasie in 'n Natuurwetenskap-verwante veld of opvoedkunde op NKR-vlak 8, of 'n gelykwaardige kwalifikasie.
Minstens vyf jaar se ervaring by 'n hoeronderwysinstelling, met 'n fokus op leer, onderrig en assessering.
Bewese ervaring in program-/kurrikulumvernuwing of program-/kurrikulumontwikkelingsinisiatiewe.
Uitstekende kommunikasievaardighede en die vermoe om met alle akademici, professionele steunpersoneel en eksterne belanghebbendes saam te werk.
Goeie aanbiedings-, opleidings- en fasiliteringsvaardighede.
Uitsonderlike projekbestuur- en probleemoplossingsvaardighede.
Die vermoe om onafhanklik en in 'n span te kan werk.
Recommendation/Aanbeveling
Master's degree.
Sound knowledge of the science context.
Experience in training and academic development of staff at a higher education institution.
