Job Summary
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to support the SAP ECC6 to S/4HANA (RISE Private Cloud) upgrade programme. This role will focus on the development and enhancement of custom objects (RICEFW), integration support, and the adoption of modern SAP development frameworks, including ABAP on HANA, Fiori/UI5, and RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and enhance RICEFW components: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms.
Deliver custom development in SAP S/4HANA aligned with modern SAP architecture and performance standards.
Develop using Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP) and ABAP on HANA.
Build and maintain OData services, SAP Fiori/UI5 apps, and applications using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).
Integrate SAP systems using technologies such as IDocs, RFCs, Proxies, and BAPIs.
Collaborate closely with functional consultants and business users to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization of ABAP code.
Maintain technical documentation and support transport management across development landscapes.
Contribute to innovation through adoption of SAP BTP and modern cloud-based development tools (where applicable).
Minimum Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP ABAP Developer.
Successfully delivered at least 3 full-cycle SAP implementation projects in an ABAP role.
Strong experience working within SAP S/4HANA development environments.
Expertise in developing and maintaining RICEFW objects.
Solid understanding of OO-ABAP, ABAP on HANA, and SAP best practices.
Experience with Fiori/UI5, OData, and RAP is highly desirable.
Familiarity with SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, or other cloud-native tools is a plus.
Proficient in SAP integration using IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, and Web Services.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Required Certification:
Must hold at least one of the following SAP certifications:
SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP HANA
SAP Certified Development Associate - SAP Integration Suite
SAP Certified Development Associate - SAP BTP
