Different Strokes Montessori is growing! We are thrilled to be expanding our beautiful Reggio-Montessori inspired environment into the Primary phase, and are looking for a passionate, dedicated and experienced

Montessori Directress for the 6-9 age group

to join our team.

We are a nature-inspired, inclusive Montessori school nestled in Johannesburg with a strong community spirit. Our approach blends the richness of Montessori principles with elements of Reggio Emilia, offering children hands-on, meaningful experiences that foster independence, creativity and love for learning. Our primary section is new and exciting, and we are looking for someone to help shape it from the start.

Requirements:

Certified Montessori qualification for 6-9 years (AMI/SAMA or equivalent) A minimum of 2 years experience in a Lower Elementary classroom Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken Passion for holistic education and child-led learning Strong classroom management and planning skills South African residency or valid work permit

Responsibilities Include:

Guiding learners through the Montessori 6-9 curriculum with joy and integrity Preparing the environment and creating meaningful, purposeful learning experiences Observing, recording, and supporting each child's development Collaborating with a passionate team of educators and parents Supporting school events, planning, and the wider school culture
