3D Retail Industrial Designer - Printing & Display Industry

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced 3D Retail Industrial Designer to join our creative team within the printing, signage, and display industry.

The ideal candidate has a passion for retail display design, understands materials and production processes, and can translate brand and marketing concepts into impactful 3D solutions that are both visually striking and practical to manufacture.

You'll work closely with our design, production, and sales teams to create innovative in-store displays, retail furniture, exhibition stands, and branded environments that bring our clients' visions to life.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop 3D retail concepts, POP/POS units, signage systems, and exhibition displays.

Produce detailed 3D visuals, renders, and production-ready drawings.

Ensure all designs are structurally sound, cost-effective, and aligned with print and fabrication capabilities.

Collaborate with internal departments (printing, fabrication, finishing, and installation) to ensure feasibility and accuracy.

Research new materials, substrates, and production techniques to improve design and efficiency.

Maintain accurate job files, version control, and documentation for each project.

Participate in client presentations and support the sales team with creative input and technical expertise.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Industrial Design, 3D Design, or related field.

3-5 years' experience in a print, signage, or display production environment.

Proficiency in 3D software, including Sketch 3D, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Rhino, Cinema 4D, or 3ds Max.

Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

Understanding of printing, CNC cutting, laser cutting, and fabrication processes.

Ability to create accurate 3D models, visuals, and technical drawings for production.

Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and time management.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Advantageous Skills

Experience in large-format printing, signage, or display fabrication.

Rendering experience with V-Ray, KeyShot, or similar software.

Knowledge of retail activation design and visual merchandising.
