2x Workshop Assistant (P15) Bloemfontein Campus

RESEARCH, INNOVATION AND ENGAGEMENT Centre for Rapid Prototype Manufacturing Ref 3077

Main purpose of the job

To assist the CRPM in manufacturing products through additive manufacturing (AM), obtaining quotes from suppliers, storekeeping, receiving of stock, operating Additive Manufacturing machines, band saw, and surface grinder.

Main tasks

1. Operating of Additive. Manufacturing
Machines and related equipment (30 to 40%)

2. Part cleaning and finishing (30 to 40%)

3. Stock Control and Raw Materials Handling (2
to 5%)

4. Maintenance and Record (5 to 10%)

5. Ad-hoc tasks (5 to 10%)

6. Personal development (2 to 3%)

3 Year Fixed Term Support Services

Minimum salary scale

(Total Cost to Company)

R 185 915 per annum

Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or

Experience

N3 (Grade 12)

Skilled craftsman with 2 years of experience in fabricating products and operating industrial machinery.

Code C drivers license

Computer literate

Desired Qualification, Knowledge and/or Experience

N5 Engineering Qualification

3 years experience in product development and manufacturing industry.

Forklift license
