Scale Shore Consulting is seeking a skilled and service-driven
1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer
to join our team. This is a key role providing technical support for telecoms services, ensuring cases are handled efficiently, accurately, and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1st and 2nd line support for broadband, leased lines, and 3CX phone systems.
Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, and telephony issues using diagnostic tools.
Configure routers, firewalls, SIP trunks, and 3CX systems.
Manage support tickets end-to-end with clear, accurate updates and timely resolution.
Liaise with network providers and internal teams to resolve escalations.
Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to process improvements.
Requirements:
Previous experience in telecoms, ISP, or VoIP support.
Knowledge of broadband/leased line technologies (FTTC, FTTP, Ethernet).
Experience with 3CX phone systems and router configuration (DrayTek, MikroTik, Zyxel, Cisco).
Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, routing, VPNs).
Excellent customer service, communication, and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tickets and prioritise effectively.
Desirable:
3CX certification.
Familiarity with VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, QoS).
Experience with broadband diagnostics portals and SLA-driven environments.
