Purpose of the role:
 Main purpose of this job
 The Branch Manager is responsible for the financial, business, marketing, and people management for his/her branch.
 Critical outcomes
 Financial Management
 - Continuously manage and monitor branch performance with regards to the following:
 o New business loan advances.
 o Interest Revenue
 o Fee Income
 o Branch expenses
 o Age analysis
 o Provisions and impairments
 Business/Compliance management
 - Ensure implementation of and compliance with internal policy as determined by Executive management.
 - Ensure NCA compliance in respect of lending policy and display requirements
 - Ensure adherence to collections policies and procedures in Branches
 - Ensure adherence to policies and procedures by all branch staff.
 - Investigate and report non-compliance to area manager.
 - Monitor potential fraud in branches and report suspicious activities to Area Managers.
 - Ensure timely and accurate reporting on Branch and within branches.
 - Ensure that the sum of branch daily/monthly is 100% accurate and are balanced every day.
 - Manage and report maintenance requirements of company hardware and software.
 Sales and Marketing Management
 - Develop implement Sales and Marketing plans to improve branch performance
 - Effectively implement sales and marketing plans
 - Measure plan effectiveness and implement correct actions where required
 - Actively focus on marketing and cross sell of non-loan products
 - Drive community participation through focussed marketing activities
People Management
 - Manage, motivate and monitor branch personnel and their performance.
 - Ensure active 360 communication between branches and Area Managers.

 - Decision making and problem solving in branches.
 - Manage staff training requirements and facilitate training.
 - Recommend to Area Managers staff movement including:
 o Promotions
 o Appointments
 o Movements
 o Salary adjustments 
Qualifications:
 Minimum Matric. Sales and Marketing qualifications will be an advantage. 
Experience:
 2 years proven track record in microfinance or banking. Minimum of two years managerial experience 
Knowledge and Skills:
 The incumbent should be able to demonstrate: o An ability to lead a team o Empathy and patience with clients and colleagues o An ability to orally communicate in a clear, respectful, honest, assertive and persuasive manner o Numeracy and literacy abilities to the level that ensures no mistakes. o A flair for administrative organization and detail o A positive attitude o A ready knowledge of the company's products (Type of loans as well as Consumer Finance) o A ready knowledge of the pricing of each product (Consumer Finance) o An ability to operate a computer and peripherals effectively and at acceptable speeds o Understanding of the need for urgency when dealing with daily and monthly reports, complaints and queries o Accuracy in the maintenance of records and systems o An ability to remain calm and resolve conflict o An ability to converse in at least two languages spoken within the market place o A compliance to all workplace rules and procedures o A willingness to undertake duties beyond the confines of your job.
