Call the hotline toll free number: 0800 003 056 or email Operating Division : Transnet NPA Position Title : Manager: Invoicing (Re-advertised) Employee Group : Permanent Department : Finance Location : Cape Town Reporting To : Revenue Management Manager Grade Level : G Reference Number : 10156383 Position Purpose : To provide a comprehensive supervisory and revenue invoicing administration in terms of:

  • Ensuring validity, accuracy, timeous invoicing and completeness of Cargo Dues, Marine and Real Estate Revenue.
  • Developing, implementing and managing the necessary internal controls to mitigate any potential risks within the Revenue
Invoicing environment. Position outputs : Ensure accurate, timeous and completeness of revenue invoicing for cargo dues, marine and real estate transactions due to TNPA are accounted for in the correct financial accounting period in according with TNPA tariff Book (Cargo Dues and Marine).
  • Create entries, amend and maintain vessels master data file in SAP as per Lloyds of London Register (Sea-web).
  • Manage marine and cargo dues invoicing processes and ensure transactions captured on SAP are verified prior to SAP

  • Ensure credit notes requested by clients are valid and accurately processed.
  • Attend to and clarify any queries from external/internal clients in terms of tariffs / service applications and business
  • Recommend amendments to Tariff Book
  • Process month-end accounting entries and ensure that VF04 and VFX3 are clear and CFRC are enforced.
  • Check and invoice all orders (marine and cargo dues) captured on a daily basis.
  • Evaluate correctness of vessel arrival numbers with vessel numbers, voyage numbers, arrival dates and departure dates.
  • Provide input and direction to SAP, Ports-on-line and ad-hoc projects.
  • Implement Audit recommendations and ensure controlled financial management in order to maximise cash flow and produce
quality financial outputs.
  • Create Human resource capacity to ensure that succession planning and training is in place.
  • Staff Management to achieve performance objectives..
  • Manage record storage to ensure that all documentation stored is monitored.
  • Ensure timeous resolution of client queries and feedback to clients
  • Performance of ad hoc Revenue projects.
  • Calculation and processing of monthly cargo dues provisions per SAP reports and reversals thereof.
  • Submit quotations to internal and external clients
Qualifications & Experience : Grade 12 Certificate
BCom or BTech in Accounting EXPERIENCE:
