Registered Nurse Trauma
Job Description
? Strong quality patient care orientation
? BLS competent
? Supervise and orientate junior staff members and students
? Perform teaching rounds with junior staff members and students
? Competent in physical assessment
? Ability to interpret the ABG's and ECG's
? Competent in administration of medication and IV medication
? Provide health education to parents and patients
? High energy levels and tolerance for stress/pressure
? Problem analysis/solving skills and accurate record keeping
? Adaptable and able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and independently
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
? Ability to render basic and advanced nursing care without supervision
? Ability to identify and manage stroke patients
Current Registration with SANC as a Registered Nurse
Minimum 2 -3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse
Proven experience in a Trauma Unit of at least one year
Current BLS Certification
Previous experience in a Private Hospital is advantageous
Ventilator competency is essential
Shift work compulsory
Work overtime when required
Be flexible and willing to assist in other departments
