Job Description

The Clinical Field Service Engineer will be required to perform installations, servicing, maintenance and commissioning activities on medical imaging devices.
 
The Incumbent will further be responsible for providing a customer support system by attending to all scheduled and non-scheduled service activities, complaints and queries concerning the use or malfunction of any systems.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent required and an Electrical Engineering Diploma/Degree or a related/ applicable technical qualification.
Own car and a valid driver’s license
South African citizen by birth
Must be fluent in English and an African language
Must have experience gained in the device manufacturing sector NOT as a technician within a hospital
 
Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of Maintenance and Service support on medical capital equipment  
Co-ordinating, scheduling and performing all planned preventative & corrective maintenance services on all installed units
Implementing upgrades/enhancements to reduce downtime and increasing performance of all installed units.
Must have experience gained in the device manufacturing sector NOT as a technician within a hospital
Exposure to Medical Imaging and Radiography field will be beneficial but is not an essential requirement
Strong understanding of technical product support in a medical environment (electronic, mechanical and instrumentation)
Reporting of all in field QC issues.
On call for any emergency service callouts. (Standby roster)
Conduct quality assurance certification on all installed units
Warehouse stock and spares management
Comprehensive Computer literacy (setup, installation and use of software)
